WRITING UNIT 7: THIS IS BRITAIN.


Let's continue learning about Great Britain,so for the writing of this unit you are going to write about festivities and customs of the British people.

Here you are some pages to look for a celebration you like most:

WRITING: Write a report about the most curious or strangest celebration or festival for you in the UK. You must write from 80 to 100 words and must include the following elements:
  1. Use sentences in the PRESENT SIMPLE AND PAST SIMPLE PASSIVE, describing:WHERE, WHEN it is celebrated,  WHAT people do, what food is eaten , WHY it is celebrated and  HOW people feel with that tradition.
  2. Use the vocabulary of the unit, including connectors.
  3. Follow this structure:

INTRODUCTION: - Name of the celebration, city or village where it is celebrated, region and date.
2nd PARAGRAPH: - Describe the festivity or tradition: what it is about, people who can participate, the first time it was celebrated.
3rd PARAGRAPH: what food is eaten , what's the purpose on celebrating it,why it is so popular and  how people feel with that tradition.
CONCLUSION: Give your opinion about this curious festivity.
